BORN FOR MORE

Are you living your life to the full? Or are you accepting whatever life throws at you? There is so much you can accomplish with your life for the remaining days you have left. For some, life has given them so much beating that all they settle for is what comes each day. What a tragedy to learn when all is said and done that you were born for more and indeed you had what it took to be the best you were created to be. A lot of people have settled for a life of “quiet desperation” and slowly wasting away and depriving the world and their generation of their contribution. Dear reader, it need not be so if you can decide right now to go for more and work steadily with the help of the Almighty God to be more.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 2:9, “However, as it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him”. This verse reminds me that God has more for you if only you can ask, believe, and receive from Him all that is rightfully yours. When you came into this world God has a plan that you and you alone can execute. The plan needs your DNA for implementation. The question, however, is “Do you know the plan?” The only way to find out is to do the following:

ASK – In James 4:2 the Bible says “...you do not have, because you do not ask God”. Every receiving begins with asking. In verse 3 of James 4 we are reminded that “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” The Almighty God loves you so much and has great plans for your life. He is also concerned with what you ask for especially when He knows that what you are asking for will ultimately destroy or even kill you. Yes, asking is the first step but ask for what will help you fulfil your potential in life according to His master plan. Some people fear to ask because it might be too big for God to give. Make it a point to ask God for big things because He is a Big God. Ask for things that will stretch you to be all. It is only through stretching that you can know the power of God. Remember that the first step of being more and having more is to ask!

BELIEVE – When you believe that God is able to give you more and has the capacity to do just that, you will begin to operate from a higher plane in life. Believing that God is able is recognizing that He is omnipotent and all powerful. Some people operate from a poverty mindset and as a result have skewed their perspective of the generosity, power, and sufficiency of God. Such people live all their lives surviving. God did not create you to only survive! He created you to have more than enough so that you can be a blessing to your generation and the world around you. To be more, you have to believe that you are born for more. You also have to remind yourself that your God has more than enough. Believe that His plan for your life is a great plan that requires you to stretch because He created you for a purpose.

RECEIVE – Receiving is a state of mind and a heart issue. Some people feel that they are undeserving and therefore are not prepared to receive. They feel that because of the wrongs of the past they do not deserve to receive anything. Let go of the past through God’s forgiveness and position yourself to receive. Be in a state of expectancy because God loves to give good gifts to his children. He is generous and very loving. Don’t short-change yourself; ask so large that it will only take God to make it happen. Remember HE IS GOD! Take hold of your possession and be more!
