DARE TO DREAM
Each one of us was born with a dream, born to do something unique and relevant for our generation, impact and inspire our world with our aspirations. Each one of us is wired with the requisite gifts and talents to do the impossible! Every impossible idea began with a dream. Any individual who believes and dreams the impossible can achieve it. Someone said, “If you can dream it you can achieve it.” The Almighty God has placed in you the ability and capacity to reach for the top. The Bible says that “all things are possible to them who believe” (Matthew 19:26; Mark 9:23). Remember that you can do all things through Christ who infuses inner strength in you. You can be the wonder of the world if you DARE to DREAM and dream so large that it will only take God Almighty to make it happen. Do not forget that Heights were made to be looked at, not to be looked from! Always remind yourself, “I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)
We are reminded in Proverbs 3:27 that “as you think in your heart, so are you.” This statement says that your dream is in your heart and it is triggered by your thought process. Do you really believe that you can achieve every dream that God your Maker has placed in your heart? Do you believe that you were wired with specific gifts and talents to be all that you were born to be? Do you believe that God does not lie and watches over His Word and promises to perform it? Do you believe that God Almighty is interested in your success and significance? And do you believe that everything you will ever need to be all that you were born to be is right inside you? If your answer to these questions is in the affirmative then you are ready to DARE to DREAM!
Zig Ziglar, author, speaker and personal development coach said: “Failure is an event, not a person. Yesterday ended last night.”
How then do you Dare to Dream? Following are some basic suggestions to follow in your quest to be all that you were born to be.
1 Spend time with God – God is the only one who knows 1000% why you were born and for what purpose. Check with the Creator and not the creation about the dream He has placed inside you. He knows what the exact dream is and how to fulfill the dream. Spend time with Him and ask Him.
2 Ask, Believe, and Receive
Ask God Almighty about the dream He has placed inside you. Believe that He has placed that dream inside you when you were born and that He has kept you alive this long purposefully to fulfill that dream. Believe that He wants you to succeed. God said in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, plans for good and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.” Receive from Him the dream, work with Him on the dream, show gratitude for His enablement and empowerment along the way and receive His surprises throughout the process. Someone said what we call LUCK is God blessing us incognito!
3 Starve your Giants and Doubts
To Dare to Dream you must have faith. Faith is your title deed to unseen realities! Faith is daring the
soul to go beyond what the eyes see! Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen! Make it a habit to consistently starve your giants and doubts because they will
consistently raise their ugly heads to make you abort your dream prematurely.
4 Fail Forward
Other people and things can stop you temporarily. You’re the only one who can do it permanently.
You don’t drown by falling in water; you only drown if you stay there. You will stumble and fall
along the way but get up and continue the trip.
5 Persevere, Persevere and Persevere
Your dream will be tested with time to ensure that you believe in the dream so much so that you
can hold on until the victory is won. Make perseverance your greatest ally! There is the time to sow
and the time to reap. Between the time you sow the seed and the time you reap, there is a period
of gestation. And that period or little DASH can appear very long. DO NOT GIVE UP!
Remember: You were designed for accomplishment, engineered for success, and endowed with the
seeds of greatness So, DARE TO DREAM.
