RECREATING YOUR WORLD (part 1)
There are many times in my life when I wished that I could change my life into a masterpiece according to God’s master plan. Several times I have imagined the abundant life, a life free of the hassles and having more than enough to bless the world around me. I suspect you have thought the same way at one point or another. There were times you attended a seminar or conference and you were told that you can have a better life than you currently are experiencing. Yes they were right and you knew they were, because you want a better life. Isn’t that right?
Dear reader, if your world or sphere of contact does not please you or if you don’t like the way things are around you, YOU CAN CHANGE IT! In fact nobody but you can change it. It is important for you to know that you have a choice in life. You don’t have to stay with the status quo. In fact, the truth is that one of two things is happening in your life:
Recreating your world means changing the circumstances of your life, looking at your surrounding conditions and changing them to suit you, taking yourself from a particular level of life to another. This sounds great and it is possible. The question is “how?”, you might ask. Read on.
God has put in you, His creative ability; your imaginative power is your creative ability! Of all the creatures of God, only man and woman have the creative ability. Dogs cannot imagine, goats can’t and no other beast can. Angels don’t imagine. People are the only ones that can imagine. God has blessed you with the special gift of imaginative power. This imaginative power is your creative ability. You can surely use this creative ability to change your circumstance if only you can stop using this imaginative power to rehearse, nurture, and pronounce the current situation that you would like to change. It is important not to keep speaking about the problem but rather talk to the problem!
Dear reader, your home may be in chaos today and your thoughts may have brought you chaotic conditions of life. It may seem for the moment as though there’s no end to your troubles, and this causes your heart to beat faster than normal. Here is what the Bible says about how God recreated the world from a chaotic situation: “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” (Genesis 1:2-3)
Principles of Recreating Your World
Here are a number of principles to help you recreate your world. Like all principles you have to work them to make them work. Remember how many conferences or seminars you have attended and promised yourself your life will never be the same again but found yourself having the same problems or being in the same situation. If it has to work you have to work it!
The Power of Positive Desire
James 1:14-15 says, “But each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full grown, gives birth to death.” Though this scripture directly relates to a negative desire, yet we find this principle works not only in the negative realm but also in the positive. Remember that light is stronger than darkness, good is better, greater and stronger than evil. So if evil desire can conceive and bring forth, then good desire can conceive and bring forth its own kind. It is important to note that everything brings forth after its own kind. So when good desire conceives it will naturally bring forth good things.
What do you want? What do you want your world to look like? How do you want your home to be? Begin to paint the picture in your mind and brood over it. Let it fill your mind, and allow God to aid you by vitalizing your imagination with declarations from God’s Word concerning you. And soon, just like at the creation, you would speak it into being. When God created the world it was a result of His desire and imaginative power at work and when He finished, He called it good. Have a specific desire, have a clear picture of what you want in your mind. Your desire will create a strong driving force, which will cause you to speak out and achieve your desired goals.
